Anti-Inflammatory Toddy

Studies show that Inflammation is at the core of many chronic illnesses and many of them, regardless of where the site of pain is, start in the gut as an autoimmune response that then develops into systemic inflammation.

The recipe below is not only a delicious drink, but it is also a drug-free weapon for your arsenal in the battle against inflammation. 

Ingredients


1 cup (250ml) cashew milk

½ tsp ground turmeric

¼ tsp ground cardamom

¼ tsp ground cinnamon

¼ tsp freshly grated ginger

2 drops pure vanilla

Pinch of freshly cracked black pepper

4 drops liquid stevia or 1 tsp liquid honey 


Method


Add the cashew milk to a saucepan over medium heat for 2-3 minutes, add the spices, ginger, vanilla, and pepper and stir to remove any lumps. 

Remove from the heat and pour through a fine sieve to remove the grated ginger. 

Choose your sweetener, serve it up while warm, and away you go.
